Promoting Sports at Grassroots Level
Like, many other Indians, I am also suffering from Cricket overdose. Though I still love cricket and like players like MSD and Sachin, but I don't advocate the biased attitude of Indians towards Cricket as compare to other Sports like Football, Basketball, Volleyball and others.
In pursuit of equality, Indiakhelo.com, announced Indian Regional League (IRL) for Basketball and Volleyball for schools, colleges and apartment complexes. Commonfloor.com will be co-organising the tournament. The tournament will host more than 150 teams across 35 colleges, 35 schools and 20 apartment complexes. Some of the apartments who have confirmed their participation are IDEB Springfields, Ferns Rainbow Drive, Sobha Jasmine, Purva Fountainsquare, Suncity Corporate Leisure, L&T Southcity Apartments, etc. The teams will play their matches on Dec 5th and Dec 12th at Jayanagar stadium to announce the final winners.

Meeting Neighbors Online - Ye accha plan hai
Internet has made us well connected with each other. But there was a connection missing, connection within your apartment community. CommonFloor aims to make this final connection with its Ultra Simple to use Platform.
CF is e-enabling more than 15,000 communities across 22 cities in India. The journey had been really exciting and on the top of it, because of the support we are receiving from our users and the traction in the media, there is just one thing missing. To put the winning flag. Yes to bring all Apartments in India on CF. It looks far but not far enough :)
See today's CF coverage in Livement here.

India having 4th largest number of internet users
According to IWS, the top 5 countries with the most internet users are:
1 - China (298,000,000 users, or 22.4 percent of their population)
2 - US (227,190,989, or 74.7 percent)
3 - Japan (94,000,000, or 73.8 percent)
4 - India (81,000,000, or 7.1 percent)
5 - Brazil (67,510,400, or 34.4% percent) (ANI)
Two good things in the news:
1. India comes at the fourth position in terms of internet users.
2. There is a huge opportunity to grow as it is just currently 7.1% of the total population.

India's most trusted brands - 2009
Brand Equity unveils Brand Equity Most Trusted Brands 2009, in an event held in Mumbai.
The top one includes:
Nokia, Colgate, Lux, Lifebuoy, Dettol, Horlicks, Tata Salt, Pepsodent, Britannia, Reliance Mobile, Close-Up, Airtel, SBI, Glucon D, Clinic Plus, Pond’s, LIC, Fair & Lovely, BSNL, LG, Good Knight, Parle Products, Bisleri, Tata Tea
I think that the common thing in all of these brands is that each one of them is the domain definer and most of them have touched the masses. I am sure that there is a lot to learn from each of them.
The complete list is here.

Hyderabad Traffic Police Campaign
For the record, road driving sense index of Hyderabad was measured lowest in the country and even far lower than underdeveloped countries.
This is the odd one out. Hats off.

Salman Winner of Dance India Dance 2009
This is one of the rare series I have been following from last 2 months. Probably because dance is one thing I love doing and watching. So finally the results are out
DID Winner : Salman Khan
DID 1st Runner Up : Alisha Singh
DID 2nd Runner Up : Siddesh Pai
DID 4th Position : Jai Kumar Nair
For me, all the four are very good dancers having their own edges and are winner in their space. I am happy that these talents got such a good visibility and a kick start in their career. Cheers to all.
